5 Empowering Statements to Ignite Your Hope

Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful , pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising Him always .

Philippians 4:8, TPT

How is your Hope?

This is a  question that you may not come across, or ask yourself often, but I’d like you to think about it, just for a moment.

When you reflect on your life, right now, are you more hopeful that goodness is your ultimate outcome, or are you more hopeless, or, afraid and timid about the unknown aspects of your future?

I ask the question because it is one that I have trained myself to consider often. What I am really assessing for myself is, am I expecting good in my life, even in hard seasons, or am I expecting negativity?

What I’ve learned is my answer to this question usually comes down to what I’ve been feeding my mind. When I consider what I’ve been feeding my mind, I am assessing, what I’ve been consuming, this includes what I’ve been watching, reading, and listening to. This assessment is important because my mental consumption ultimately determines what my dominate thought patterns are.

Recently, I was assessing the state of my hope, and I realized I needed a hope boost. I wrote these 4 empowering statements to boost my hope, and if you are in a season where you could use a boost, these are for you, please take what resonates.

  1. I will not allow myself to be overwhelmed by things I cannot change, or things that I have no control over. If I am to be overwhelmed at all, it will only be by God’s Perfect Peace, anything else is in direct violation of His best for me.
  2. I don’t have to figure things out on my own. God is ordering my steps, and even when I am not clear where He is guiding me, I am certain that my final destination is good, because He is always good.
  3. I am even thankful for slow progress, for it allows my roots to deepen. And, the depth of my roots will ensure that what I am building will stand both the tests of time and TREND.
  4. I am courageous. I have the audacity to hope after disappointment, and I have the nerve to expect victory after countless, seeming, defeats.
  5. I am brave enough to release what did not happen while moving boldly into the beautiful possibility of what can be.

If one of these statements met you where you are today, I hope you will write it down, and affirm it again and again, concerning your life. As you do, my prayer is that the growth of your hope would decrease the space in your heart for any fear.

Even if you can’t see, or imagine it now, your best is ahead of you, only believe!

I hope this helps!

Until Next time,  Sending you love, courage, and even MORE COURAGE.

Love,

D
