Affirm This,
I am Light.
This week I am actively pursuing and taking advantage of opportunities to shine the Light within me into dark places outside of me.
My Light brings hope to the hopeless by allowing kindness, grace, compassion, and love to guide my interactions with others.
I am alert and prepared to bring God’s goodness everywhere that I am.
. . .
Have you ever noticed the power of the tiniest glimmer of light in a pitch-black room? Have you ever experienced the relief it is to locate a light switch in an unfamiliar place after fumbling and stumbling around cautiously? Do you know what it’s like to need one good thing to happen to you after a slew of misfortunes?
In all of these examples, it is light, rather literally or figuratively, that has the power to make a huge difference. In the depths of darkness, there is no such light that is insignificant.
This truth is good news for us because we have the privilege, purpose, and power to show up as a light in many forms in the darkest of places, and light is welcomed where it is needed.
Existing as light to lift the veil of hopelessness is a calling from God, and we answer the call each time we dare to allow our good deeds toward ourselves and others to testify of God’s goodness in the earth.
This week, dare to be light intentionally.
You are the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Until Next Time,
